Frequently asked questions
WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF STYLISTS?
All of the stylists at GUIDE work on a Performance Based Level System. The level the stylist is at is based on PERFORMANCE, EDUCATION and DEMAND OF THEIR TIME.
The level system accomplishes two main goals. The first is to provide a career path of growth and achievement for our team. The second is to provide several options for our clients to choose from to suit their budget.
We are constantly learning and growing as a team, and are confident in knowing that you will be in great hands with any of our stylists!
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
You can either book your appointment online HERE, or call the salon at (306)974-4247.
If you are not able to find a spot online, give us a call. We often can accommodate better over the phone, recommend you to another one of our stylists or add you to our waitlist in case something opens up!
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE STYLIST LEVELS?
This stylist is a leader in the salon, and their services are the most in demand. They book serveral weeks or more in advance, have the most hands-on experience and meet other benchmarks such as customer satisfaction and referrals from happy clients. They will often have a stylist (or two) observing and/or helping out with shampooing or blowdrying, while performing all colour work and cutting personally.
This stylist is successfully growing their clientele, have busy schedules and they meet benchmarks succh as customer satisfaction and referrals from happy clients. Their prices are lower than our highest level and appointments can usually be made sooner, but they are well on their way to becoming a Mentor Stylist at GUIDE.
This stylist is typically new to Saskatoon and is therefore building up their clientele. They have recieved extensive training and are meeting customer satisfaction everyday. They LOVE referrals from happy clients and as their demand for time grows behind the chair, they will be well on their way to becoming an Established stylist at GUIDE.
This stylist is performing work up to our standard at GUIDE. They typically have been working 1-3 years after completing Hair School and are taking in as much education outside and inside the salon. Constantly striving to learn as much as they can, if they are not working behind the chair you will see them observing other stylists in salon and asking questions so they can offer the best services to their clients. As they reach benchmarks within the salon and continue learning, they will be on their way to the next level at GUIDE.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON KIDS?
We love children; we even have some of our own! However, so that the ambiance within our salon remains as relaxing as possible for all of our guests, (many of whom are enjoying some time away from their little people), we request that another form of child care be arranged outside of the salon environment.
With this being an escape, we think you know best if your little person will suit our environment or not. If they do, amaizng but please note that we do not have children's pricing. If you need a referral, we are more than happy to give you one until they are ready to become GUIDE groupies too!
