How did you get into hair?
I’ve always had an interest in hair, but the main pull for me was the creative freedom and community! Being able to collaborate with customers and other stylists behind the chair creates such a fun environment to exist in.
What do you love about the hair industry?
It’s hard to pick just one thing as my favourite! It’s so satisfying to help someone reach their hair goals, but even more so to meet people from different walks of life. Individual style has become such a spectrum, getting to experience and create as much as I do is what keeps me going!
What are you known for?
I'm known for being a bit of a grandma! I love to get out and explore, but I think my happy place is truly at home with a latte and a book.
What foods can't you live without?
Korean fried chicken... I could eat it every day and never get bored!
Fav song or artist on repeat?
I've been obsessed with Fleetwood Mac's album Rumours! 'Silver Springs' has been on repeat for a while now.
What is your personal style?
I bounce around a lot when it comes to a personal style! I love neutrals and timeless elements, (bury me in a red lip) but I find myself drawn to both the 70s and androgynous fashion resurgence. At the end of the day, I just aspire to dress as much like Zoe Kravitz as is humanly possible.
How do you spend your downtime?
I spend most of my time thrifting, reading, or collecting recipes. Especially if it involves bread!
What is your fav local business?
Plato's Closet is one of my favorite places to be! I always leave with way more than I expected, and their pieces honestly make up 70% of my wardrobe.
Do you have any recommended reading or watching?
If anyone is looking for an amazing, slightly disturbing movie recommendation, 'Fresh' has recently made my top 10! For my readers out there, 'Norweigan Wood' both introduced and enamored me to Haruki Murakami, any of his works are definitely worth a read!
Any past/future travel plans?
In the past, I've been fortunate enough to explore both Thailand and Vietnam. In the future, I hope to explore more of Canada! Halifax is next on my bucket list.
Fav quote or motto?
A quote I love to remember is "Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans." Our world can be so unpredictable, sometimes you just have to go with the flow!
I am totally obsessed with cats! Bring me all the pictures of your fur babies :)
